Instructions for translators
  • Avoid translating word for word. Feel free to adapt your translation so that it appears natural in the translated language.
  • I release the changelogs for upcoming versions a few days before publication. Therefore, you can translate them if you wish to have them available in your language at the time of publication.
  • It's not necessary to translate the old changelogs.

Barcode Scanner is a free and open-source app that allows you to read and generate barcodes. It can collect information about food products, cosmetics books and music (CDs, Vinyls…).

Different barcodes formats are managed by the app :
• 2 dimensions bar codes: QR Code, Data Matrix, PDF 417, AZTEC
• 1 dimension bar codes: EAN 13, EAN 8, UPC A, UPC E, Code 128, Code 93, Code 39, Codabar, ITF

Collect information about a product during a scan :
• Food products with Open Food Facts
• Cosmetics with Open Beauty Facts
• Food products for pets with Open Pet Food Facts
• Books with Open Library
• Music CDs, Vinyls… with MusicBrainz

App features :
• Simply point your smartphone's camera to a barcode and instantly receive information about it. You can also scan barcodes through a picture in your smartphone.
• With a simple scan, read business cards, add new contacts, add new events to your agenda, open URL or even connect to Wi-Fi.
• Scan Food products barcodes to receive information about their composition thanks to the databases Open Food Facts and Open Beauty Facts.
• Search information about the product you scan, with a quick research on different websites such as Amazon or Fnac.
• Keep track of all your scanned barcodes with the history tool.
• Generate your own barcodes
• Customize the interface with different colors, with a light theme or a dark one. The interface is built with Material 3 and is compatible with Material You, allowing you to adjust colors based on your wallpaper for devices running on Android 12 or later.
• Texts are entirely translated in English, Arabic, Spanish, French, Portuguese, Russian, German, Turkish, Italian, Ukrainian, Polish, Dutch, Romanian and Chinese (Simplified and Traditional).

This app respects your privacy. It does not contain any trackers and does not collect any data.

Barcode Scanner is een gratis en open source app waarmee je barcodes kunt lezen en genereren. Het kan informatie verzamelen over voedselproducten, cosmetica, boeken en muziek (CD's, vinyl...).

De app beheert verschillende barcodeformaten:
• Tweedimensionale barcodes: QR-code, Datamatrix, PDF 417, AZTEC
• Eendimensionale barcodes: EAN 13, EAN 8, UPC A, UPC E, Code 128, Code 93, Code 39, Codabar, ITF

Verzamel informatie over een product tijdens het scannen:
• Voedingsmiddelen met Open Food Facts
• Cosmetica met Open Beauty Facts
• Voedingsproducten voor huisdieren met Open Pet Food Facts
• Boeken met Open Bibliotheek
• Muziek CD's, vinyls... met MusicBrainz

Functionaliteit:
• Richt de camera op een barcode en ontvang er onmiddellijk informatie over. Je kunt barcodes ook scannen van een foto.
• Met een simpele scan kun je visitekaartjes lezen, nieuwe contacten toevoegen, nieuwe evenementen in je agenda zetten, URL's openen of zelfs verbinding maken met Wi-Fi.
• Scan barcodes van voedingsmiddelen en cosmetische producten om informatie te krijgen over hun samenstelling dankzij de databases Open Food Facts en Open Beauty Facts.
• Zoek informatie over het product dat je scant, met een snel onderzoek op verschillende websites zoals Amazon of Fnac.
• Houd al je gescande barcodes bij in de geschiedenis.
• Genereer je eigen barcodes
• Pas de interface aan met verschillende kleuren, met een licht thema of een donker thema. De app integreert de functies van Android 12interface is gemaakt met Material 3, en is compatibel met Material You, waardoor je de kleuren kunt aanpassen aan je achtergrondin de app de stijl van je ingestelde achtergrond kunnen volgen op toestellen uitgerust met Android 12 of nieuwer.
• Teksten zijn volledig vertaald in het Engels, Arabisch, Spaans, Frans, Portugees, Duits, Nederlands, Pools, Turks, Italiaans, Oekraïens, Roemeens, Russisch en Chinees.

Deze app respecteert je privacy: het bevat geen trackers en verzamelt geen gegevens.
