Instructions for translators

Thanks for helping to translate CENO!

To get started:

  1. Make an account on Weblate or sign in with your Github or Gitlab ID. Note: Account creation is not required, but you will only be able to suggest translations in this case

  2. Visit the Censorship.no project page - which lists all components and their strings (including Android app strings, the web browser extension, the User Manual and the website).

  3. On the Censorship.no project page's 'Languages' tab, choose the language you want to work on, or -- in case the language doesn't exist yet -- initiate a new language by selecting a component from the main project page and clicking on the "Start a new translation" button. Please note that we can't support shipping arbitrary translations with our published materials unless they have a reviewer (see below).

  4. Please contact the CENO team at cenoers AT equalit DOT ie if you are interested in becoming a reviewer for translation(s) in your language(s).

  5. If you plan to translate the User Manual, please get acquainted with Markdown first (e.g. with this cheatsheet).

If the third device can load the site used for the test, you are all set. The first device is able to seed content to others, and it can most probably also act as a bridge.
Pokud třetí zařízení dokáže načíst stránku použitou pro test, vše je připraveno. První zařízení dokáže sdílet obsah s ostatními a pravděpodobně může také fungovat jako most.

This time you will need a third device, but it must be connected to a different Wi-Fi network (maybe another friend can help from home). The steps to follow for that device are exactly the same as those in the previous test.
Tentokrát budete potřebovat třetí zařízení, ale musí být připojeno k jiné Wi-Fi síti (možná vám může pomoci další přítel z domova). Kroky, které je třeba na tomto zařízení dodržet, jsou přesně stejné jako u předchozího testu.

After successfully completing the test above, leave Ceno running on the first device as with the previous test, and stop Ceno on the second device (by showing its notifications and pushing "Tap to stop").
Po úspěšném dokončení výše uvedeného testu nechte Ceno běžet na prvním zařízení, stejně jako při předchozím testu, a na druhém zařízení Ceno zastavte (zobrazením jeho notifikací a stisknutím "Tap to stop").

We have done a small-scale test of the distributed cache. Let us now test how it works over the Internet.

Finally, you may have also noticed that there is a counter for *Shared by you*. This is not a different source *per se*: elements counted here are indeed part of the distributed cache, but they happen to already be stored in your device, so Ceno does not need to retrieve them over the network.
Nakonec jste si možná všimli, že existuje počítadlo Sdíleno vámi. To není samostatný zdroj jako takový: prvky zde uvedené jsou skutečně součástí distribuované cache, ale jsou již uloženy ve vašem zařízení, takže Ceno je nemusí načítat přes síť.

If it works, it means that both devices are able to deliver that content to other clients. Pushing the Ceno address bar icon should show a popup like the one below, where only *Shared by other Ceno users* has a non-zero value.
Pokud to funguje, znamená to, že obě zařízení jsou schopna doručit tento obsah ostatním klientům. Kliknutím na ikonu Ceno v adresním řádku by se mělo zobrazit vyskakovací okno, jako je to níže, kde pouze Sdíleno ostatními uživateli Ceno má nenulovou hodnotu.
